I don’t ordinarily plan to have a Sunday song, but this is just too good NOT to share!

My thoughts have been taking me captive all afternoon. After a Praise-Fest and a session of renewing my mind using my I Deserve a Donut App, I knew that the Lord was prescribing a bath for me! So, I grabbed my iPod and had Genius make up a playlist based on One Thing Remains. While I soaked in the tub, up popped a song that I didn’t even know I had on my iPod. (That happens from time to time.)

Here is the song…

Even If Lyrics:

Songwriters: WOOD, TONY / KRIPPAYNE, SCOTT

Sometimes all we have to hold on to
Is what we know is true of who You are
So when the heartache hits like a hurricane
That could never change who You are
And we trust in who You are
Even if the healing doesn’t come
And life falls apart
And dreams are still undone
You are God You are good
Forever faithful One
Even if the healing
Even if the healing doesn’t comeLord we know your ways are not our ways
So we set our faith in who You are
Even though You reign high above us
You tenderly love us
We know Your heart
And we rest in who You are

You’re still the Great and Mighty One
We trust You always
You’re working all things for our good
We’ll sing your praise

You are God and we will bless You
As the Good and Faithful One
You are God and we will bless You
Even if the healing doesn’t come
Even if the healing doesn’t come

=============

This song is perfect for me. I have to really evaluate…even if the healing doesn’t come, will I choose to praise my God? Will I rest in His character…what I KNOW to be true? Sure, healing is something he often does. He heals hearts, relationships, bodies…but what if he doesn’t choose to heal this time? What then?

ASSIGNMENT

Add this song to your From Trial to Triumph Play List. Here it is for $.99 cents as an mp3 on Amazon. Here it is in the iTunes store for $1.29. Play it enough to memorize it, to get it running through your head. If you don’t have an mp3 player, then play the video again and again to do the same. The truths in these songs are powerful and so helpful when we are struggling! I hope you are finding this music helps you to stay on the Path of Praise no matter what and to move from trial to triumph.
